Jacqui McDonald, who, for a long time, was one half of the well-known duo, "Jacqui and Bridie", and who is now a solo performer in her own right, with several CDs and tapes available.
In 1964 Jacqui, with Bridie, formed the first full-time British female folk-song duo. Their names, Jacqueline McDonald and Bridie O'Donnell, were soon shortened to "Jackie and Bridie" , and later to "Jacqui and Bridie"
